Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • The Information Management Officer will act as the program national data focal point for a single core competence team within an area office.  S/he will help coordinate data and information management between the program and also between the implementing partners, and the Information Management Team at Libya office.  S/he will support the program Coordinator and implementing partners with data collection, storage, and reporting.
  • S/he will support the various data collection exercises undertaken by the program on a daily basis.
  • The following is a brief description of the role.

Generic responsibilities

  • Support the formulation of the M&E Matrix and plans to address indicator reporting requirements;
  • Provide technical guidance on the design of data capture processes;
  • Supervise data capture processes to ensure they are implementation according to plans and agreed standards;
  • Provide analysis of information and data to address indicator reporting requirements;
  • Maintain CC files, data bases, and other archives documenting project progress;
  • Provide training and support to NRC staff on data capture, analysis, and use;
  • Maintain the CC specific portion of data capture, analysis, and warehousing platforms (e.g. KOBO and O365) is well organized and accessible;
  • Ensure compliance with NRC data policies;
  • Liaise with other units on areas of common responsibility;
  • Critical Interfaces

By interfaces, NRC means processes and projects that are interlinked with other departments/units or persons. Relevant interfaces for this position are:

  •  Core Competency Staff
  •  M&E Department / Information Management Team

  •  Knowledge of the context in Libya desired;
  •  Experience with mobile data capture desired;
  •  Fluency in English and Arabic both written and verbal
