UX/UI Designer

The Business Computing (FAP-BC) group, within the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), is responsible for developing and maintaining a wide range of support applications essential for the operations of the organization. We are currently seeking a UX/UI Designer to contribute to enhancing the usability of our diverse portfolio of applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Design wireframes, prototypes, and user interfaces for web-based and mobile applications.
  • Implement user-centered design principles to create intuitive and visually appealing interfaces.
  • Develop and maintain UI design patterns and style guides to ensure consistency across applications.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to iterate and improve designs.
  • Work closely with developers to implement designs and ensure design integrity throughout the development process.
  • Maintain, coordinate, and contribute to the CERN Design System to ensure coherence and reusability across the application landscape.

Requirements:

  • By the application deadline, you have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Design, Graphic design (or a related field) and your highest educational qualification is either a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
  • You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
  • Applicants without University degree are not eligible.
  • Applicants with a PhD are not eligible.
